Aims & Activities
1) To provide the type of experience that will give young people (8-18) with disabilities and/or special needs a unique opportunity to participate in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities. To enable them to gain confidence in their own abilities and socialise with others to help their personal development and social skills.
2) To provide training to young people (14+) and adults to enable them to work with and develop their awareness of the care of the disabled. To give them the opportunity to become a companion/friend, share together leisure activities and to give service to the community.
3) To provide respite care.
We do not have a "membership", simply volunteers from schools, colleges, youth clubs/organisations. We support DofE and Millennium Volunteers, and will consider integrating an organisations own training programme/assessment scheme if deemed practical.
